Project Name: Duane L. Corbin Shooting Range
Project Description: The Foundation provided the financing for the renovation and upgrade of Marathon County’s Duane L. Corbin Shooting Range. While enhancements were made to the rifle, pistol, skeet, and archery ranges, the focus of the project was to provide classroom facilities for hunter safety and firearms safety training.
The Foundation provided the majority of project funding through a major grant it obtained from the National Rifle Association that we matched with funds garnered from Marathon County, numerous local sportsmens groups, individuals, and a large Ducks Unlimited style fundraising dinner. The range is recognized as one of the finest in the state.
